Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Arrival & Departure Services
- Warmly welcome arriving guests at the hotel main entrance or lobby drop-off zone.
- Assist guests with loading, unloading, and safely carrying luggage using bell carts or trolleys.
- Escort guests to their assigned rooms upon check-in and briefly explain room features and controls (e.g., air conditioning, lighting, safe, electronic DND, hot water).
- Collect luggage from guest rooms during check-out and ensure smooth loading into taxis, private cars, or airport transfers.
2. Luggage Management & Storage
- Properly tag, log, and secure short-term and long-term guest luggage in the hotel’s luggage room.
- Ensure accurate distribution of luggage to correct rooms during group check-ins and tour arrivals.
- Safely store and manage guest parcels, mail, messages, and key drop deliveries.
3. Concierge & Guest Assistance
- Provide helpful recommendations and directions for local tourist spots, shopping malls, restaurants, and transport options.
- Assist guests in hailing taxis, calling ride-share services (e.g., Grab), or coordinating with the valet and driver teams.
- Run operational errands for the Front Desk, such as delivering items, letters, or amenities to guest rooms.
4. Lobby & Entrance Upkeep
- Keep the main entrance, lobby area, and bell desk clean, organized, and clear of traffic or visual clutter.
- Maintain luggage trolleys and bell carts to ensure they are clean and in good working condition.
- Monitor entry area security and report any safety concerns or suspicious activities to security personnel.
Position Requirements in the Philippines:
1. Education
- High School diploma required
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management (BSHM)
- Tourism, or related fields is often preferred by 4- to 5-star hotels.
2. Language Skills
- Fluent in Filipino and English (strong verbal skills are crucial for guest interactions).
- Knowledge of additional foreign languages (e.g., Mandarin, Japanese, Korean) is an advantage in major tourist hubs.
3. Physical Fitness
- High stamina; ability to stand, walk, and carry heavy loads (up to 25–30 kg) regularly during long shifts.
4. Grooming & Demeanor
- Excellent personal grooming, well-maintained uniform, professional attitude, and friendly disposition.
5. Work Schedule
- Flexible to work in shift rotations, including weekends, night shifts, and public holidays.
