Sales Account Manager

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

1. Dining Area & Station Preparation
  • Proactively identify, prospect, and solicit new business leads across targeted market segments (e.g., Corporate accounts, BPO companies, Government agencies, NGO/EMBASSY accounts, Travel Agencies, or Wedding/Social event planners).
  • Conduct sales calls, off-site client visits, tele-prospecting, and digital presentations to introduce hotel facilities, room categories, function spaces, and service packages.
  • Organize and conduct professional Site Inspections and personalized hotel tours for prospective bookers, organizers, and corporate administrative heads.
2. Account Management & Relationship Building
  • Manage a portfolio of assigned corporate key accounts, building long-term relationships with key decision-makers (Human Resources heads, Procurement officers, Executive Assistants, and Event Planners).
  • Negotiate volume-based corporate room rates, local company agreements (LCAs), event contracts, and long-stay packages in alignment with the hotel's revenue management strategy.
  • Conduct regular account reviews to track booking performance against contracted room-night guarantees and yield targets.
3. Event Bidding, Contracting & Revenue Target Execution
  • Prepare custom sales proposals, official quotations, bids, and contracts using standardized hotel rate structures and policies.
  • Work closely with the Revenue Management and Reservations teams to optimize room pricing, yield strategies, black-out dates, and minimum stay restrictions.
  • Exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for room nights, average daily rate (ADR), revenue per available room (RevPAR), and banquet food & beverage sales.
4. Inter-Departmental Coordination & Event Handover
  • Liaise with the Events / Banquet Service, Front Office, and Culinary teams to hand over confirmed event details via formal Event Orders (EOs) or Function Sheets.
  • Oversee key client arrivals, major corporate group check-ins, or high-profile events to ensure all contract terms and special VIP requests are flawlessly executed.
  • Assist the Finance / Credit & Collection department in following up on outstanding client accounts, billing statements, and credit line approvals.
5. Market Intelligence & Reporting
  • Monitor competitor activities, pricing trends, expansion plans, and promotional offerings within the local Philippine hospitality market (e.g., Metro Manila, Cebu, Boracay, Clark).
  • Attend industry networking events, corporate expos, travel fairs (e.g., PTAA Travel Tour Expo, PHITEX), and business association meetings to expand the hotel's network.
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions, bookings, pipelines, and revenue reports in the hotel's CRM / PMS systems (e.g., Opera, Salesforce, Delphi, Amadeus).

Position Requirements in the Philippines:

1. Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management (BSHM), Tourism, Marketing, Business Administration, Mass Communication, or related fields.
2. Work Experience
  • 2–4 years of proven sales experience in a 3- to 5-star hotel, resort, convention center, or corporate travel sector. Prior experience managing corporate accounts or MICE segments is highly preferred.
3. System Knowledge
  • Proficiency in Hotel PMS / Sales software (e.g., Opera Cloud, Delphi, Salesforce, MS Office Suite).
4. Network & Contacts
  • Existing portfolio of corporate clients, travel agencies, event organizers, or government bookers in the Philippines is a major hiring advantage.
5. Communication Skills
  • Excellent verbal and written English and Filipino presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal communication skills.
5. Flexibility
  • Willingness to travel locally for client meetings, participate in evening networking events, and work during major weekend event setups when required.
