Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversees the daily procurement activities for engineering, maintenance, and project-related requirements of the hotel and resort operations.
- Sources, evaluates, and negotiates with suppliers, contractors, and service providers for engineering materials, equipment, tools, spare parts, and technical services.
- Ensures timely procurement and delivery of engineering requirements while maintaining cost efficiency, quality standards, and operational continuity.
- Coordinates closely with the Engineering Department regarding specifications, technical requirements, project timelines, and purchasing needs.
- Reviews technical purchase requests, quotations, and supplier proposals for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project specifications.
- Conducts supplier accreditation, assessment, and performance evaluation to ensure reliability, quality, and competitive pricing.
- Assists in establishing and maintaining procurement procedures, supplier databases, and purchasing controls related to engineering operations.
- Monitors inventory levels of engineering supplies and recommends reorder schedules to avoid operational disruptions.
- Performs supplier site visits and coordinates with vendors regarding deliveries, installations, warranties, and after-sales support.
- Ensures proper documentation and record keeping of purchase orders, quotations, contracts, and delivery reports.
- Supports cost-saving initiatives and strategic sourcing activities for engineering-related purchases and projects.
- Performs other assigned tasks from time to time.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or any related field.
- At least two (2) years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or engineering-related sourcing.
- Experience in hotel, resort, construction, property management, or engineering operations is an advantage.
- Knowledgeable in sourcing engineering materials, equipment, technical specifications, and supplier negotiation.
- Strong coordination, negotiation, analytical, and vendor management skills.
- Capable of working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Willing to be deployed to other Astoria Properties.
- Can start immediately.
